Tunisia..a company owner shoots ferocious dogs at his workers

The owner of an oil establishment in Sfax, Tunisia, assaulted his workers and striking unionists by intimidating them with criminal gangs accompanied by fierce dogs.

And the Tunisian "Nesma" website quoted Al-Shaab newspaper, affiliated with the Tunisian General Labor Union, as saying that "the incident occurred against the background of the expulsion of workers following the formation of a basic union that takes care of their social rights in accordance with constitutional laws and international covenants."

He continued that "the owner of the company did not attend the health sessions at the state level or the labor inspection, disregarding the law, joint agreements and labor charters, and continues to cut the workers' livelihoods in front of the suspicious silence of the authority in the person of the first authorized person of the state center that the regional union of labor in Sfax held responsible for social tension in the institution and in the Sfax region."
